Allison Brunet

Timmins native Allison Brunet, who has appeared in a number sci-fi films and TV series over the years as a stunt actor was the celebrity guest at this past weekend’s TimminsCon.

“Typically most stunt performers come with a professional athleticism background and a lot of people come from a circus background or dancing,” said Brunet. “Myself, I come more from a dancing aspect. A lot of people are martial artists and you kind of just build your way from there. You build your skills from fighting, to falling, to doing stunt driving and it just keeps going from there. It’s always about building more skills which is interesting. For someone who likes to learn, it’s a really fun career.

Brunet, who grew up in Timmins and is a graduate of École publique Renaissance, has been working in Vancouver the last 4½ as a stunt actor. She has appeared in a number of science fiction TV series including Van Helsing, The 100, Timeless and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as well the films Descendants 2 and Descendants 3
