Junior Audio-Visual Production Technician

Responsible for the live television multi-camera direction during broadcasts of House of Commons proceedings and House or Senate Committee proceedings through the use of automated technology.

WORK EXPERIENCE

CTV NEWS OTTAWA

Production Floater (ENG Technician / Editor)

ENG and in-studio camera operation for noon, 5 p.m. local, 6 p.m. and 11:30pm news broadcasts. CTV National News when required. VTR ingesting and non-linear editing for all broadcasts including prompter shifts. Shoot and edit reports based on reporter scripts and interview sound clips including voice overs for broadcast deadlines. Compile "Headlines" based on story scripts, sound clips, current footage and voice overs. ENG Live remotes for all news broadcasts using Dejero.

Responsible for the coordination of picture day at various schools across the Ottawa Valley. Photographing children from kindergarten to grade 12 and ensuring high-quality portraits looking for key elements of a great photograph. i.e.) posture, facial view, lighting, framing, eye direction, grooming, expression and technical aspects.

Created work orders updating and maintaining cabling installations using asset inventory management software.

Technology Application Specialist

Promoted from within to the role of Customer Service Manager. Advised customers on wide range of products including C-41 and E-6 film processing, inkjet printing, hand retouching, Photo CD, digital imaging, mounting and lamination. Ordered inventory supplies for use at the front counter. Implemented coloured envelope process for delivery clients to improve shipping times.
