Conservitive leader Doug Ford met with members of the local PC riding association to gather support for his leadership bid.

During his visit, Ford laid the groundwork for his high-profile campaign promise to restore the Northlander passenger rail service, an essential northern transit line connecting Toronto to Cochrane and Timmins that had been cancelled by the Liberal government in 2012.
