Working at Parliament Hill is certainly different. It's weird to see so many reporters with their cameramen doing live hits and not being a part of it. That's no longer my life and I'm okay with that. Parliament is not in session until September so I've got some time to get familiar with everything. Watch previous broadcasts and walk around the building and find out where all the control rooms are. There are five control rooms in West Block including the regular Chamber broadcast, across the street in Wellington Building, there are six different rooms used for webcasts and one control room that can do both. One of them is only used in a backup capacity that is built against the back of the Chamber and hidden by curtains.
