Forge FC defeated Atlético Ottawa 2–0 at TD Place Stadium to capture their third Canadian Premier League championship. Despite playing in front of a record home crowd of nearly 15,000 fans, Ottawa's historic "worst-to-first" season ended in heartbreak following goals from Alessandro Hojabrpour and David Choinière.
